Broncos acquire Bruins’ Captain Cade Kennedy

The Humboldt Broncos are proud to announce the acquisition of 2004-born forward Cade Kennedy from the Estevan Bruins in exchange for a PDF.

Kennedy, in his second season with Estevan, was named the Bruins’ captain at the start of the year. The Regina, SK native has played 30 games this season, picking up 12 points (5g-7a).

“Cade will add a lot of value to our forward group. First off, he’s basically a four-year veteran, he’s a captain who brings solid leadership, and we feel a guy that can do a lot of different things. He’s a centreman that can slide up and down your lineup, play powerplay, and penalty kill, and you need that type of versatility in your players as you head to the playoff push,” said Head Coach and GM, Brayden Klimosko.

Prior to joining the Bruins, Kennedy spent parts of three seasons with the Yorkton Terriers to start his SJHL career where he amassed 80 games played. In total, Kennedy comes to the Broncos having accumulated 51 points (27g-24a) in 131 games of SJHL experience, adding another 11 games of playoff experience.

He was drafted 44th overall by the Weyburn Red Wings in the 2019 SJHL U15 Draft

The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Cade and his family to the organization and community,
