There is always a first time for everything.

On February 29th prior to the Humboldt Broncos game, the first edition of the Jacob Wasserman Goalie Leadership Award was handed to Pee Wee AA Broncos Goalie, Brady Holtvogt.

In honour of former Broncos goalie, Jacob Wasserman, the award is received by a Humboldt Minor Hockey player who has not only lit up the stat sheet but has also shown unbelievable leadership skills and determination.

“it’s an honour, I remember going to my cousin’s games and watching Jacob play. It’s awesome, he was my idol growing up,” said Brady Holtvogt.

Holtvogt’s hard work has shown with the Pee Wee AA Broncos currently in the second round of the playoffs against the Prince Albert Grey Hounds. The youngster has been whatever he can to help his team win.

“I’ve been working on goalie techniques in the mornings and I always try to give 110 percent.”

The Pee Wee AA Broncos are currently down 1-0 in the series with Prince Albert Grey Hounds and look to get back on track on March 6th in Prince Albert.
