SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Winner: Derek Serdachny, Yorkton Terriers
1988 F Derek Serdachny (Yorkton SK) emerged as a dominating player in the Sherwood Conference semi-finals as he scored four goals in four games, leading the Terriers to three wins in their series with the Melville Millionaires. Serdachny had a hat trick on Thursday night and then potted the overtime winner on Saturday night. The 6’2” 200 lbs Serdachny has also been a physical force in the offensive zone resulting in plenty of territorial advantages for Yorkton when his line is on the ice. Serdachny has 6-goals in 6-games in the series to lead all performers.

SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Winner: Tanner Vandesype, Humboldt Broncos
1988 D Tanner Vandesype (Radville SK) boosted the Broncos past the Battlefords North Stars in a six game series by providing 2-goals and 6-assists in 4-games played. His biggest night came last Tuesday when he put up a goal and four helpers. He also scored once and set up another in the series clincher on Sunday. He ended the series with 2-goals and 7-assists in 6-games played.

SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Winner: Joel Danyluk, Yorkton Terriers
1990 G Joel Danyluk (Yorkton SK) bailed out his teammates by backstopping them to three wins in four games last week. Danyluk and the Terriers were down 2-games-to-1 and 3-0 in the first period of game four when he was installed as the starting netminder. All Danyluk did was blank the Mils for 79 minutes to allow them to come from behind and win game four. The Terriers also won game five (3-2) before falling 2-1 in game six. Danyluk has stopped 97-of-101 shots (.959) and has a 1.15-GAA in the series. His SPCT and GAA lead all SJHL playoff goalies.
